Utah Consumer Disclosure & Regulatory Status

Important information regarding Superlegal’s authorized legal services in the State of Utah.

Regulatory Authorization

Superlegal.ai is authorized to practice law in the State of Utah as a non-lawyer-owned entity under the Utah Supreme Court’s regulatory Sandbox framework. This authorization is administered by the Office of Legal Services Innovation (LSI).

Please Note: This entity is not a traditional law firm. It is a technology-enabled legal services provider authorized to provide specific legal services under special regulatory approval.

You can view our official authorization order and application documents on the official state registry: Utah Supreme Court Authorization Order (PDF).

Our Service Model & Human Oversight

To deliver fast, accurate, and cost-effective contract reviews, Superlegal utilizes a hybrid service delivery model combining proprietary artificial intelligence with human legal expertise:

  • AI Contract Analysis: Our advanced automation platform performs the initial structural analysis and heavy lifting on your agreements.
  • Global Legal Experts: Every edit, redline, and validation is reviewed by our global network of trained legal professionals and out-of-state attorneys (who act as legal scriveners or advisors outside the strict jurisdiction of Utah).
  • Utah Attorney Escalation: In accordance with our approved Sandbox model, day-to-day operations are handled via AI and our global review ecosystem. Review, oversight, or escalation by a locally licensed, Utah-state attorney occurs on an occasional or escalation-only basis when specific jurisdictional complexities arise.

Consumer Protections & Disclosures

Because we operate under a non-traditional legal model, we want to ensure you are fully informed of your protections:

Attorney-Client Privilege

Communications regarding legal services within the authorized scope of our Utah Sandbox operations are protected by attorney-client privilege under Utah law, despite our hybrid AI/human delivery structure.

Professional Liability

Superlegal maintains robust professional liability insurance coverage appropriate for the tech-enabled legal services provided within the state.
